The Capital Markets Sales Officer within the Flagstar Financial & Leasing group is responsible for originating, structuring, and distributing lease transactions through bank and non-bank investors. This role focuses on growing the bank’s leasing portfolio by identifying market opportunities, building relationships with institutional buyers, and executing transactions that optimize risk-adjusted returns. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in the equipment leasing, acquisitions, lease syndications, structured finance, and credit risk, as well as a strong track record of closing deals in the capital markets.Pay Range: $169,630 - $185,840 - $219,675Pay Range: Local Minimum Wage - $0.00 - $0.00
Job Responsibilities:
Origination & Deal Structuring
Source, structure, and price lease transactions for acquisition / syndication distribution from & to bank and non-bank institutional investors.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors, lessors, and financial sponsors.
Partner with Relationship Managers and internal leasing teams to assess client needs and structure competitive lease solutions.
Responsible for specified volume &/or fee income targets within Capital Markets’ overall objectives.
May lead high level strategic initiatives for Capital Markets &/or Flagstar Financial & Leasing, LLC.
Transaction Execution & Distribution
Lead the syndication and secondary market sale of lease assets, ensuring optimal pricing and execution.
Collaborate with credit, legal, and operations teams to facilitate smooth deal execution.
Negotiate terms with investors, ensuring alignment with bank credit and risk policies.
Market Intelligence & Strategy
Stay informed on trends in the leasing and structured finance markets, identifying new opportunities for growth.
Provide insights to leadership on pricing strategies, risk appetite, and competitive positioning.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal risk management requirements.
Uses independent judgement and discretion to make decisions related to client needs and the portfolio.
Analyzes and resolves problems pertaining to client needs and the portfolio.
ADDITIONAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required.
Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance trainings. Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Required Qualifications:
Education level required: Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent).
Minimum experience required: 5 Years combination of equipment leasing, capital markets, lease syndication, structured finance, finance &/or relationship management experience.
Proven ability to originate and execute lease transactions in institutional and equipment leasing markets.
Strong network within the leasing and financial services industry.
Preferred Qualifications:
Credit, portfolio risk analysis and pricing skill set in support of recommendations the acquisition &/or syndication of opportunities.
Good understanding of standard equipment leasing products.

Significant travel as dictated by client needs.
